The HFR Recycle Center located on Small Tracts Road accepts:

• Aluminum beverage cans
• Three types of paper
• Tinned cans
• Glass (now at BigFoot Auto)
• Plastic (#1 and #2)
• Scrap metal

BEFORE DROPPING THESE ITEMS MAKE SURE THEY ARE CLEAN AND READY TO RECYCLE. CHECK THIS WEB-SITE FOR MORE INFORMATION

Note: To defray expenses, there is a 5c/pound charge to non members for materials dropped off at the recycling center.

Corrugated Cardboard: Every Saturday from 10 am until 2 pm and Thursdays and Fridays from 9-noon. Please do not leave your corrugated at the recycling center at any other time!!!

Junk-mail: Magazines and junk-mail can be dropped off at the HFR Recycle Center. Be sure you use the correct bin: Junk Mail is Office Paper, Magazine and Catalogs are Low Grade Paper!

Automotive Batteries and Tires: Bigfoot Auto Service located at 1 mile Haines Hwy. accepts all lead-acid vehicle batteries. Cost: $4.00 /car, $12.00 /larger type; Tires are also taken for a charge

Antifreeze: Bigfoot Auto Service located at 1 mile Haines Hwy; nominal charge.

Waste Oil and Used Tires: Big Foot Auto Service and Haines Sanitation take waste oil and used tires. Turner Construction and the boat harbor take waste oil only.
